SimCorp Dimension Business Consultant

London (hybrid) | Permanent | £TBC + bonus and benefits

Also open to Charles River and Aladdin consultants - full SimCorp training and certification provided.

Investment platform work is where asset management transformation actually happens, and this role puts you at the centre of it. You'll be delivering SimCorp Dimension implementations and enhancements for buy-side clients, working front-to-back across the investment lifecycle rather than in a single functional silo.

This is a genuine blend of business analysis and hands-on platform work. You'll sit with client stakeholders to gather and shape requirements, translate those into functional designs, then configure and test the solution yourself. If you've been frustrated by roles that stop at the specification, this isn't one of them.

What you'll be doing

  • Running requirements gathering and design workshops with front, middle and back office stakeholders
  • Translating business needs into functional specifications and SimCorp Dimension solution designs
  • Configuring and enhancing SCD modules - workflows, interfaces, reports and platform components
  • Supporting implementation end to end: data migration, integration, testing, UAT and post-go-live stabilisation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve STP, automation and operational efficiency
  • Acting as the subject matter expert clients turn to on both the platform and the underlying investment process

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Solid grounding in asset management operating models and investment processes
  • Credibility in front of business users, and the communication skills to run a room
  • Domain depth in one or more of: derivatives processing, portfolio management, trade order management, portfolio or fund accounting, performance measurement, risk, collateral, settlement, alternatives or client reporting

Coming from Charles River or Aladdin?

We'd still like to hear from you. Strong consultants from other investment platforms will be put through structured SimCorp training and certification. What matters is the delivery experience and the domain knowledge - the platform can be taught.

Also useful

Large-scale transformation programme experience, knowledge of SCD interfaces to upstream and downstream systems, reconciliations or workflow automation, and prior consulting experience in asset management or investment operations.

Why this one

Permanent, not contract. A market where most experienced people are day-rate means genuine career progression, structured development and long-term client relationships are harder to find than they should be. This role offers all three, with a clear path through the consulting grades and international project exposure.
