Why Moorhouse?

We are a dynamic consulting firm, focused on delivering sustainable change. We make sure our clients succeed in their long-term goals by helping them turn their strategy into action through exceptional delivery and establishing a culture of change. We are a transformation consultancy, meaning we work with clients on projects to deliver change and improvement, such as in the way they operate, the services they provide, or how they manage their people. We deliver real impact through our projects and our clients like who we are and how we work.

We pride ourselves in being proactive, collaborative, and straightforward team players, with a focus on being successful together. We move fast as a team, and honesty and integrity are key to this. You will be part of a supportive and high-performing team that looks after each other, has fun, and celebrates success together. You can be assured of exciting opportunities on varied projects that will stretch you and equip you with skills, experience, and knowledge to help organisations respond to turbulence and improve.

We will expect you to contribute to a culture of sustainability and embrace Moorhouse’s social responsibility by integrating responsible practices and upholding ethical standards and awareness in everyday work.

Moorhouse is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Unfortunately, this means we are not able to progress applications from candidates who would require sponsorship now or in the future.

Telco, Media and Technology at Moorhouse

The Moorhouse Telco, Media and Technology (TMT) sector team is made up of around 20 professionals. We help our clients deliver meaningful, business-led transformation, including the design and launch of new products and services, network rollout support, operating model development, and operational optimisation. We work closely with all our Service Lines: Strategy and Customer, People and Change, AI, Digital, Data and Delivery, Performance Improvement, and Sustainability — to provide a full transformation offering to our clients.

Our expertise and experience have secured us places on many clients’ consultancy frameworks. As a result, we have been involved in some of the most significant transformation programmes across the TMT sector. For example, we have helped telco operators deliver next-generation network rollout programmes and define the enterprise workforce skills needed for the future. In media, we have supported the launch of new over-the-top (OTT) platforms, and in technology, we have delivered operational performance improvement. We are also recognised by the Financial Times as a leading telecommunications and technology consulting firm.

To support our continued growth and success, we are looking for a talented Client Director who will help shape and grow our TMT sector, with a focus on the telco and/or media industry. We welcome people who are motivated to play a leading role in our TMT sector, deliver high-value consulting services, and further develop Moorhouse’s TMT capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

As a Client Director in our TMT team, you will combine market-facing business development with senior delivery leadership. You will be expected to originate and grow opportunities, build trusted relationships with senior telco and media clients, and lead teams to deliver high-quality transformation outcomes. Experience

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced consulting leader who can bring deep TMT expertise, commercial judgement, and strong client leadership to Moorhouse. As a Client Director, you will play a key role in growing our TMT business: originating and converting opportunities, deepening senior client relationships, and leading high-value client engagements.

You will lead sales and business development, oversee consultant and client delivery teams on key engagements and accounts, and lead, motivate, and develop colleagues across the Moorhouse team. You will also help shape our TMT proposition and market presence, working closely across our Sector and Service Line.

You will also contribute to our culture of sustainability and social responsibility by integrating responsible practices and upholding ethical standards in everyday work.

You will bring significant telco and/or media sector experience, a strong commercial track record, and credibility with senior clients. You will be equally comfortable originating and growing business, leading complex client delivery, and developing high-performing teams.

As A Client Director, you Will Have

  • Significant consulting and transformation experience, gained within a major consulting firm, specialist or boutique consultancy, and/or a senior role within the telco or media industry.
  • Experience working in the telco and/or media sector with leading organisations such as Vodafone, BT, Virgin Media O2, Three, Sky, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Disney.
  • Significant experience operating at a senior level across telco and/or media client organisations, including C-suite stakeholders, building trusted relationships, and helping clients navigate complex transformation.
  • A strong sales track record and a demonstrable network of relevant telco and/or media relationships, with a proven record of personally attributable sales of at least £2m.
  • Experience leading complex consulting engagements and multi-disciplinary teams, with accountability for high-quality client outcomes.
  • A track record of developing and growing client accounts, identifying new opportunities, and converting work.
  • Experience of playing a leadership role within a TMT team, supporting the development of compelling propositions, and integrating with Service Line teams.
  • A strong people leadership approach, with experience coaching, developing, and supporting colleagues to perform at their best.
  • A commitment to Moorhouse’s culture of sustainability and social responsibility, integrating responsible practices and upholding ethical standards in everyday work.
