Life Sciences at Moorhouse
Our Life Sciences sector is a critical part of our business and has experienced double-digit growth in recent years. It is an exciting place to work - we are constantly pushing our own boundaries in terms of the capabilities we have, the nature of the projects we deliver, and the impact we have for our clients. We work in corporate teams solving business problems, such as responding to disruptive technology trends, implementing innovative products, delivering transformation programmes, upskilling or building capabilities, or defining operating models and accompanying organisational design. We have an ambitious strategy to continue the growth of our revenue and capabilities.
Our Life Science expertise spans the value chain from R&D and clinical development through commercial and post-market support, as well as in support functions such as digital & technology and HR. Within this, we have four business functions that are core to our strategy and continued growth: Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D Development, and Global Health, Access & Sustainability. As a sector, we have long-standing partnerships with a range of global pharmaceutical companies (e.g., GSK, AstraZeneca, ViiV, Bayer, Otsuka) and work on projects big and small – from large enterprise transformations to targeted change support within specific teams. Together, we enable Life Sciences organisations to maximise their business value and social impact to achieve the best outcomes for their patients.

We are looking for a Manager to join our team, leading the delivery of our projects and driving continued growth of our sector. Our team is tight-knit and collaborative (~14 people). We each play an important role in running and growing the Life Science sector at Moorhouse, as well as in delivering our clients’ most critical transformation efforts.

Essential skills
What are we looking for?
As a Manager, you will have:
- 6 - 8 years’ experience from a management consulting firm working on transformation and change projects.
- Outstanding delivery/advisory and transformation capability with experience independently leading projects or initiatives in transformation programmes or large projects.
- Examples could include project or programme management, change management, operational excellence, process improvement, operating model, organisation design, digital/tech implementation, omnichannel, strategy & insights.
- Subject matter knowledge and experience working in Life Sciences, preferably in:
- Commercial: e.g., go-to-market strategies; commercial operating models and ways of working; product launch planning and management; market analysis and identifying and engaging customers.
- Medical Affairs: e.g., medical strategy and execution; medical operations and operating model; scientific engagement and communication; medical training and upskilling.
- Global Health, Access & Sustainability: e.g., Global Health strategy vision and org design; access programme design and management; impact definition and measurement.
- R&D Development: e.g., R&D strategy and transformation; operating model and process optimisation; portfolio and pipeline strategy; regulatory and evidence generation planning.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capability. Ability to identify & scope consulting solutions and to manage new projects through the sales process.
- A strong record of leading teams, building capability, coaching, and upskilling colleagues (either on projects or as a line manager).
- A ‘big picture business thinker’ with a passion for solving business problems - we are not looking for detailed technical or scientific expertise but broader business/corporate problem-solving and project experience.
- A passion for Life Sciences and delivering transformation and change that improves health for patients.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and identify, scope, and lead key initiatives (this is also important for owning internal roles in our Life Science sector team).

- A total cash package of up to £110,000 comprising a base salary of £82,005 and a combination of personal and company bonuses that are paid every six months.
- 25 days annual leave increasing by one day for every full year of service to a maximum of 30 days with the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave per year.
