Management Trainee | Birmingham | Immediate Start
Have you recently graduated, applied for dozens of roles and received very little in return? Perhaps you have been affected by redundancy as businesses reduce costs, restructure or close altogether. Or maybe you know you have the ability and ambition to achieve more, but your current role does not offer the space, support or budget for you to develop.
If that sounds familiar, keep reading.
The Job Market
The job market is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate. Companies are cutting costs, opportunities are becoming more competitive, and AI and automation is changing the type of work available. While many businesses are reducing their teams, Sage is expanding across the UK.
We have identified a growing area of the market built around something technology cannot fully replace: genuine human interaction. As AI and automation remove more of the personal element from customer acquisition, businesses are placing greater value on professional face-to-face representation and meaningful customer relationships.
Demand for our services continues to grow, and we are now looking for ambitious individuals who want to develop the skills, experience and leadership ability required to help drive that growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Actually Learn
This is a hands-on route into running a business, not a training scheme on paper. From week four you'll be taking leadership responsibility on live campaigns. You'll build real business acumen across sales and customer acquisition, marketing strategy and conversion, operations, finance, payroll, budgeting and account management, the full picture, from ground-level leadership up to executive decision-making.
We build entrepreneurial mindset above everything else. You'll be taught to think like an owner rather than an employee: read numbers, own outcomes, spot opportunity, take decisions and stand behind them. If you have that entrepreneurial instinct already, this is where it gets sharpened.
