Role Description

This full-time, on-site Manager role is based at the Kwik-Fit center in Galashiels. The Manager oversees daily operations, including coordinating automotive repair and service activities, managing staff schedules, and ensuring high standards of customer service and safety.

  • Supervising and coaching team members
  • Monitoring performance
  • Maintaining compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
  • Handling center-level reporting
  • Supporting sales and service targets
  • Managing inventory and equipment
  • Working closely with customers to resolve issues and enhance their overall experience

Qualifications

  • Operations and leadership: Ability to manage day-to-day center operations, lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and drive performance.
  • Customer service and communication: Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, and a focus on delivering positive, professional customer experiences.
  • Automotive and technical awareness: Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and repair services (e.g., tyres, brakes, exhausts, servicing, MOT), or willingness to learn.
  • Organization and problem-solving: Proven skills in planning, prioritizing workload, resolving operational challenges, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Sales and business acumen: Comfort with meeting service and sales targets, promoting services, and supporting revenue growth for the center.
  • Health, safety, and compliance: Commitment to safe working practices, adherence to company policies, and awareness of relevant regulations.
  • Experience and education: Prior experience in retail, automotive, or service management is beneficial; supervisory experience and a valid driving license are preferred.
