The team works with global leaders in technology, e-commerce, and financial services to build and scale solutions across acceptance, issuing and co-brand partnerships, and payments data services. Through a consultative approach—and inspired by Mastercard’s longstanding focus on inclusive growth—we are passionate about working hand in hand with mission-aligned companies to solve real-world problems for people and businesses around the world.

Join an agile, high-performing team within Mastercard’s Global Digital Merchants & Marketplaces vertical, focused on managing and growing the partnership with leading global ecosystem partners.

Role

  • Defend and grow revenues with selected centralized global partners.
  • Support day-to-day relationship management for key customers.
  • Build relationships with new customers and grow a pipeline of opportunities. Building strong ties across different areas of a customer business, beyond payments teams. Comfort in maintaining relationships even if a sale is not imminent.
  • Participate in strategy sessions with colleagues to better define our right to play in rapidly-expanding verticals. This includes engaging in taskforces and internal workings groups across multiple reasons.
  • Get into the detail of how our products work by reading technical documentation and being able to articulate the solutions at a high-level to customers.
  • Help identify, qualify, and progress product, services, and VAS sales opportunities, within payments and non-payment related services.
  • Maintain the sales pipeline and track progress against customer priorities and revenue objectives. Comfort with using Salesforce to efficiently track and maintain projects.
  • Meticulous project management skills to maintain pipelines and growth with 15+ customers.
  • Prepare quarterly business reviews and commercial proposals, client materials, business cases, and internal approval documents.
  • Coordinate closely with regional stakeholders, as well as product, legal, finance, pricing, and delivery teams, to execute priority initiatives.
  • Use customer performance, market insight, and pipeline data to identify risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. With an intent focus on what value, we can bring to the customer.
  • Support the Digital Merchants & Marketplaces vertical on strategic projects and initiatives.
  • In-person interactions with customers at their offices, events, and conferences – ranging from pitching business to more informal social situations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
