Do you want to be at the forefront of AI & Data transformation within Security & Justice, supporting organisations that operate in some of the most complex and sensitive environments?
Technology & Transformation: across the Security & Justice sector, organisations must balance innovation with strict requirements around security, resilience, ethics and public accountability. Data is at the core of this challenge, and AI has the potential to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making and enable new capabilities - but only when engineered responsibly and deployed at scale. That is exactly what you will help our clients to achieve.
You will work on designing and delivering AI solutions that are robust, secure and fit for purpose in high-assurance environments, helping clients move from pilots and proofs of concept to production-ready systems that deliver real operational impact.

We are seeking to hire experienced AI Engineers within our AI Scaling and Transformation team, a centre of excellence in Deloitte’s Engineering, AI & Data service offering.
You will work alongside clients, third parties and Deloitte teams across the Firm, supporting Security & Justice organisations to design, build and scale AI and Generative AI solutions. As an AI Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering AI solutions within complex environments. In this role, you may be expected to:
- Own the delivery of AI engineering workstreams, ensuring solutions are designed, built and delivered in line with client objectives, timelines and quality expectations.
- Work closely with client stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into scalable AI and data-driven solution architectures.
- Design, develop and deploy AI and Generative AI solutions, including machine learning models, data pipelines and application components that are secure, reliable and performant.
- Drive the operationalisation of AI solutions using modern engineering and MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model monitoring, testing and lifecycle management.
- Ensure solutions are developed in line with security, privacy, governance and responsible AI requirements, particularly within highly regulated and secure environments.
- Collaborate with architects, data scientists, engineers and business analysts to integrate AI solutions into broader enterprise systems and delivery programmes.
- Manage stakeholders and contribute to delivery leadership activities, including reporting progress, managing risks and supporting junior team members.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
