DESCRIPTION:

Guide a successful team of application scientists supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific's advances in the field of proteomics. Support customer achievement through exceptional pre- and post-sales technical support, training, and consultative services. Collaborate with sales teams to increase market presence while ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Manage demonstrations, validations, troubleshooting, and implementation of complex scientific workflows. Serve as a technical expert, maintaining current knowledge of emerging technologies and applications in your field. Support team development and maintain effective relationships across the organization to achieve business objectives.

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in applicable field
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Materials Science or related
  • Additional certifications in management or relevant technical areas advantageous
  • Valid driver's license required
  • 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience
  • Deep expertise with analytical instrumentation, workflows and applications
  • Experience in proteomics technologies is a plus
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing technical support
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills across all levels
  • Strong business understanding and ability to support commercial success
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training programs
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Proficient in English; additional language skills valuable
  • Advanced problem-solving and project management capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in collaborative environment
  • Experience with quality systems and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical staff
