Leading Big Four firms in Bermuda are expanding their Banking Assurance practice and are seeking exceptional Senior Managers with strong technical expertise in SOX, US GAAP and external audit.

The Role
As a Manager within the Banking Assurance practice, you'll lead significant client engagements, build trusted relationships with senior executives, and work closely with Partners across high-profile international banking clients.

You'll be responsible for:
- Leading complex assurance engagements from planning through completion
- Managing relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Providing technical leadership on complex accounting and reporting matters
- Driving audit quality, efficiency and innovation
- Developing and mentoring Managers and future leaders within the practice
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading external audits of banks and regulated financial institutions
- Managing large, multi-jurisdictional audit engagements
- Reviewing and evaluating Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (SOX)
- Advising clients on governance, risk management and internal control frameworks
- Applying strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements
- Coordinating with global engagement teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Leveraging technology and data analytics to improve audit quality and client outcomes
Who They're Looking For
This opportunity is designed for outstanding performers who thrive in technically challenging environments.
You will ideally have:
- Current or recent Manager experience within a Big Four or leading professional services firm
- Significant Banking Assurance or Financial Services audit experience
- Strong experience auditing banking or regulated financial institutions
- Extensive exposure to SOX/Internal Controls over Financial Reporting
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS experience also highly regarded)
- Experience working with PCAOB reporting requirements will be viewed favourably
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACA or ACCA
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A commercial mindset with the ambition to progress towards Director and Partner level
