This is a senior client-facing role within Deloitte’s Business Process Solutions (“BPS”) Finance team, focused on helping multinational clients design, implement and run high-quality finance and accounting operations. The role combines technical accounting expertise, managed services delivery, stakeholder leadership and technology-enabled transformation.
You will work with leading global brands to improve finance processes, strengthen reporting and controls, and deliver scalable outsourcing, co-sourcing and transformation solutions. The opportunity offers significant exposure to senior client stakeholders, international delivery teams and emerging finance technologies.
BPS provides customised solutions across operational finance, accounting, HR, payroll, company secretarial and tax processes. In Finance BPS, we help clients centralise, streamline and enhance finance activities including transaction processing, close and consolidation, management reporting, statutory reporting, audit support, process improvement and technology enablement.

Within BPS, the Finance team supports clients across the financial transaction lifecycle, from source documentation and transaction recording through to close, reporting, audit support and finance transformation. We work across outsourcing, co-sourcing, staff augmentation, digital solutions and project-related services.
We are looking for a qualified finance specialist with strong accounting, reporting and finance operations experience to join our team. You will advise prospective and existing clients, implement and operate finance solutions, lead distributed teams and help embed automation and continuous improvement across client finance processes. This is primarily a Finance BPS role; candidates should have awareness of tax, treasury, controls and risk matters where they interact with finance operations.
This role would suit a finance professional who enjoys client-facing work, complex reporting environments, managed service delivery, team leadership and improving finance processes through technology.

- Client delivery and relationship management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones, supporting day-to-day finance delivery, client reporting, issue resolution and service quality.
- Finance operations and technical accounting: Oversee and deliver accounting, management reporting, statutory reporting, audit support and technical discussions on IFRS, UK GAAP or US GAAP matters.
- Managed services governance: Take responsibility for meeting contractual commitments, service levels, KPIs, quality standards and client expectations across finance engagements.
- Team leadership: Lead and develop UK-based and delivery centre team members, embedding clear roles, standard operating procedures and consistent delivery disciplines.
- Transformation and continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to standardise, automate and improve finance processes, using reporting tools, finance-relevant technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency, accuracy and control.
- Business contribution: Support business planning, team development, recruitment and the wider strategic objectives of the BPS Finance practice.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
You will be confident building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. You will bring strong technical finance capability, commercial judgement and the ability to lead people through complex delivery and change environments.
Essentials:
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong financial accounting, management reporting and statutory reporting experience, including IFRS, FRS 101/102 or US GAAP.
- Experience delivering finance operations, managed services, outsourcing, co-sourcing or complex finance transformation projects.
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to establish credibility, understand stakeholder needs and communicate clearly with senior audiences.
- Proven ability to lead teams across locations, including hybrid and delivery centre environments.
- Strong delivery discipline, including SLA/KPI governance, quality control, project planning, risk management and contract awareness.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with practical interest in automation, data, reporting tools and finance technology.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, make fact-based decisions and manage competing priorities in complex client environments.
Desirable:
- Experience developing KPIs, reporting cycles, business cases, project plans or process standards.
- Experience with Workiva, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle or similar finance systems.
- Power BI or similar data visualisation and analytics experience.
- Experience in a Big 4, professional services, shared services or multinational environment.
- Project management certification or equivalent practical project delivery experience.
- Foundational awareness of tax, treasury, valuation, M&A, internal controls, internal audit, risk management or cybersecurity as they relate to finance operations.
