What's the position?
We are looking for a commercially minded, analytically driven Manager to join our Sportsbook Commercial team as Manager, Commercial Analytics & Supplier Performance. Reporting to the Director of Commercial, Sportsbook, this role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and supplier management - providing the analytical horsepower needed to evaluate commercial proposals, track supplier performance, and support the team in making smarter, faster decisions. You will be a key partner to the Director of Commercial, translating complex data into clear recommendations that directly influence how we structure and manage our supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain frameworks to evaluate incoming commercial proposals from data, content, and technology suppliers - including pricing analysis, margin impact, and competitive benchmarking.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support contract negotiations and renewal decisions.
- Track and report on commercial deal performance against agreed terms and KPIs.
- Partner with Finance to ensure commercial commitments are accurately reflected in forecasting and planning.
- Own the performance scorecard process for key sportsbook suppliers, tracking SLAs, uptime, data quality, product delivery, and commercial outcomes.
- Own the preparation for supplier performance reviews - data packs, insight summaries, and recommendations - ensuring meetings with stakeholders are well-evidenced and actionable.
- Identify underperformance trends early and surface recommendations for remediation or renegotiation.
- Maintain a centralised repository of supplier contracts, terms, and performance history.
- Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting for the Commercial Director and wider leadership team on supplier health, commercial exposure, and market trends.
- Monitor industry developments - new entrants, pricing shifts, competitive supplier landscape - and synthesise into actionable intelligence.
- Support RFP and due diligence processes with data-driven analysis.
- Work closely with Sport Leads in Trading Performance, who are the primary source of ground-level intelligence on feed quality, market gaps, and supplier issues - ensuring that operational insight reaches commercial decisions.
- Support evaluation of suppliers in international markets, beginning with Mexico and expanding as further LatAm markets come online, where HRD has less established supplier knowledge.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
