AI Agent - Manager

Contract Type: Contract, Outside IR35
Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)
Location: Remote (based in UK)

Overview:

We are seeking a Manager to lead the design, build and technical delivery of AI Agent solutions. This role will be responsible for translating discovery outcomes into scalable technical solutions using Microsoft AI technologies, while managing build activities, sprint delivery and stakeholder expectations.

The successful candidate will oversee solution design, backlog management, integration planning, testing and implementation readiness. They will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure solutions meet functional, security and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build and technical delivery of AI Agent solutions across the engagement
  • Translate discovery outcomes and business requirements into scalable, well-architected technical solutions using Microsoft AI technologies
  • Own solution architecture decisions, ensuring solutions meet functional, security and governance requirements
  • Manage the build backlog and sprint delivery, prioritising work in line with project timelines and business priorities
  • Oversee integration planning across Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Dataverse and Azure AI services
  • Direct testing and implementation readiness activities, ensuring solutions are fit for deployment
  • Provide technical leadership and day to day direction to the build team, including the Senior Consultant
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across business and technical teams, communicating progress, risks and dependencies
  • Ensure delivery follows agile ways of working, including sprint planning, stand ups and retrospectives

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on and leadership experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and the Power Platform
  • Solid working knowledge of Azure AI services
  • Proven solution architecture experience, ideally for AI-driven or conversational solutions
  • Strong agile delivery experience, including backlog management and sprint planning
  • Experience leading or managing technical build teams
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging senior business and technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of security and governance requirements within enterprise AI deployments
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical input with delivery and people leadership
