The Role
Joining a global Corporate Finance team, the FP&A Manager will be based in our London office and support all of Kobalt’s business units in planning and budgeting. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance based in New York, with oversight from the VP and EVP of finance based in London. You will help drive the business through regular forecasting and analysis with a focus on revenue and margin – creating developing financing models, providing insight into revenue performance, and carrying out ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
What You’ll Do
- Support delivery of regular weekly/monthly/quarterly internal management reporting and external investor deliverables
- Maintain revenue and margin models with a focus on Kobalt artist deals (acquired & administered) across actual, budget, and forecast figures
- Ensure forecasts (covering P&L, cash flow, and KPIs) are updated on time, communicating performance as appropriate with stakeholders in the business and across the finance function
- Continuously improve and integrate data across multiple systems and departments (using SQL) to increase reliability, accuracy, and usefulness of reporting
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis supporting strategic and operational decision marking as appropriate
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified accountant with experience of independently managing forecasts and budgeting processes as well as owning complex models
- Experience working in an FP&A, budgeting and/or forecasting role and experience preparing deliverables, asking questions, proposing solutions, and presenting to senior management
- Advanced level of Excel and SQL expertise with experience manipulating large volume complex datasets/databases that leverage multiple systems and tools
- Interest in automation, process optimization, and using tech tools to improve workflows
- Experience working in the music or creative industries is a plus, but the most important thing is that you have an ability to work independently, and can efficiently manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and of course, a passion for working in music!

Interview Process
- Recruiter Screen
- Virtual call with hiring manager
- Take-home assignment followed up by an in-person presentation to hiring manager and VP of Corporate Finance
- Final stage virtual call with EVP Corporate Finance
