About the Role
At Gate One, our Managers are the heart of our consultancy projects. They design and deliver transformational change, lead consulting teams, nurture senior client relationships and help shape the future of our business.
In our Customer Strategy & Marketing Transformation team, you will work with leading organisations to solve growth, customer and marketing challenges. Our work spans customer strategy, customer experience, marketing transformation, commercial transformation, operating model design, customer-centric organisational change and AI-enabled marketing transformation.
As a Manager, you will lead major workstreams and programmes from strategy through to implementation, helping clients achieve meaningful and measurable outcomes. You will be a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, leading blended client and consulting teams while contributing to the continued growth of our Customer Strategy & Marketing Transformation capability.
This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant who combines strategic thinking with practical delivery, enjoys working across a variety of industries and is excited by helping organisations become more customer-centric, commercially effective and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-value client delivery
- Scope, shape and deliver complex customer, growth and marketing transformation programmes.
- Lead workstreams and multidisciplinary delivery teams to achieve successful client outcomes.
- Build trusted advisory relationships with senior client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Lead the development of customer strategy, customer experience, commercial growth and marketing transformation solutions.
- Apply structured problem-solving and analytical rigour to address complex business challenges.
- Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality and create lasting client impact.
- Manage programme risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations throughout delivery.

Grow client accounts and support business development
- Develop and strengthen relationships within existing client accounts.
- Identify new opportunities and contribute to account growth activities.
- Play a leading role in proposals, pitches and sales pursuits.
- Develop client credentials, propositions and thought leadership aligned to Customer Strategy & Marketing Transformation.
- Partner with senior colleagues to shape commercial opportunities and convert prospects into client engagements.

Lead and develop teams
- Lead and coach teams of consultants and senior consultants across multiple engagements.
- Support performance management, development and career progression of junior colleagues.
- Create inclusive, high-performing team environments that enable people to do their best work.
- Act as a role model for Gate One's values and consulting standards.

Help build Gate One
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Customer Strategy & Marketing Transformation capability.
- Lead or contribute to strategic internal initiatives and capability-building activities.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and community development across the firm.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, proposition development and thought leadership.
- Play an active role in shaping the culture and future direction of Gate One.
About You
You must have approximately 6-10 years' experience gained within a recognised management consulting firm, including experience operating at Manager level.
At this time we are not able to consider candidates whose experience sits solely within industry roles.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience delivering customer strategy, customer experience, growth, commercial or marketing transformation engagements, ideally working with clients in the consumer and retail sectors.

- Experience leading large workstreams, projects or programmes with accountability for delivery outcomes.
- Experience working directly with senior client stakeholders and executive-level sponsors.
- A strong track record in customer strategy, customer experience, marketing transformation, growth strategy, commercial transformation or related areas.
- Programme and project management expertise.
- Experience leading and managing teams of consultants.
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business development and account growth.
- Curiosity, versatility and a proactive approach to solving complex business problems.
- A passion for helping organisations improve growth, customer outcomes and marketing effectiveness.
- The flexibility to work across sectors and transformation challenges.
