About the role
Join PwC’s Cyber Advisory team as a Manager specialising in Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security, helping some of the world’s leading industrial organisations strengthen the security and resilience of their critical operations. Working across sectors including manufacturing, energy, utilities and transport, you will support clients in managing OT and Industrial Control System (ICS) risk, securing connected operational environments, and enabling safe digital transformation. You will lead OT security assessments, enhance control frameworks, provide strategic regulatory and compliance advice, and deliver complex client engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on OT cyber professional who enjoys solving real-world operational challenges while collaborating with engineers, plant operators and senior technology leaders.
What your days will look like
- Deliver OT/ICS cyber risk assessments, security reviews and threat analysis across critical industrial environments, helping organisations identify vulnerabilities, strengthen resilience and manage operational risk across manufacturing, energy, utilities and other industrial sectors.
- Design and implement practical OT security improvements across ICS, SCADA, DCS, PLC, RTU and Industry 4.0 environments, balancing cyber security requirements with operational safety, availability and business priorities.
- Lead client engagements including workshops, site visits and remediation programmes, applying leading frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, NCSC CAF and ISO 27019 to improve security maturity.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, translating complex technical risks into business insights, supporting control implementation, and contributing to business development, proposals and growth initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
