The opportunity

EY Tax is a market leader, renowned for delivering sustainable growth and empowering our people to shape their own careers. Our diverse, collaborative team advises on high-profile transactions, combining technical expertise, innovation and a genuine focus on continuous development. Join us to work on challenging, multi-country projects in a supportive, dynamic environment where your impact truly matters.

Why build your career in indirect tax technology transformation?

Indirect tax technology transformation is a rapidly evolving area at the intersection of tax, technology and business transformation. Organisations are increasingly investing in e-invoicing, real-time reporting and broader indirect tax technology capabilities to respond to changing regulatory requirements, improve operational efficiency and modernise their finance and tax functions.

Working in this area provides exposure to global clients, emerging technologies and large-scale transformation programmes, including e-invoicing, e-reporting, VAT/GST compliance, tax data management and technology-enabled operating model transformation. You will build valuable skills across tax, technology, project delivery and stakeholder management while helping organisations navigate their digital transformation journeys.

As digital tax reporting requirements continue to expand globally, professionals with experience across indirect tax technology, e-invoicing and regulatory transformation are in high demand, creating strong opportunities for career progression, international exposure and future specialisation.

Our team delivers services in two core areas:

  • Technology, data and transformation consulting services: covering areas such as data strategy, operating model transformation and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Annuity services: which utilise EY’s technology assets to deliver SaaS and managed service engagements on a multi-year basis.

You'll have opportunities to be part of cross-border, multi-disciplinary teams and to work with tax, technology and data specialists to deliver industry leading services.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support clients in developing and / or implementing effective tax data strategies
  • Work with the team and our clients to define transformation strategies and transform their operating models
  • Understand the ever-changing tax regulatory challenges facing our clients and work with Tax and IT stakeholders to develop and deliver sustainable solutions
  • Work with 3rd party technology solution providers to support implementation of e-invoicing, e-reporting and tax technology solutions for clients
  • Support delivery of existing proprietary EY technology assets to clients under SaaS and managed service models
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications to guide solution design and development of technology EY assets, potentially in collaboration with our global alliance partners.
  • Work with global teams to support delivery of complex managed services engagements that utilise EY’s technology assets
  • Support and collaborate with team members, helping build an inclusive culture and high performing team within TTT
  • Contribute to business development activities and team capability development
  • Manage client relationships and lead project delivery by working closely with other team members / junior resources and offshore centres of excellence
  • Provide subject matter expertise to design, develop, implement or configure technology and data orientated solutions
  • Support indirect tax technology, e-invoicing and digital reporting implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, post-go-live stabilisation and transition to business-as-usual operations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments related to e-invoicing, e-reporting, and digital tax administration globally

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
