Our Managers lead strategy projects or critical workstreams for senior clients across energy, resources and industrials. They turn complex market, policy, technology and commercial questions into clear recommendations, supported by robust evidence and practical plans for delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Project and workstream leadership: Lead project teams and workstreams, manage delivery and risk, and coach junior colleagues
- Client leadership: Build trusted relationships with senior clients and communicate analysis, recommendations and trade-offs clearly
- Problem solving: Structure ambiguous questions, set hypotheses and direct research and analysis towards decision-ready answers
- Strategy and commercial analysis: Assess markets, competitors, customers, policy and technology, and translate findings into growth, portfolio, investment or operating choices
- Quantitative analysis: Build and review market, financial and scenario models that test the value and feasibility of strategic options
- Business development: Identify client needs, shape propositions, contribute to proposals and help develop priority accounts
- Team development: Contribute to the team’s sector knowledge, methods, publications and inclusive culture

Connect to your skills and professional experience
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong experience in strategy, management consulting or another relevant advisory role
- Knowledge of one or more energy, resources and industrials sectors, with an informed view of how the energy transition affects clients
- A structured, hypothesis-led approach to complex and ambiguous problems
- Experience in corporate, commercial, growth, portfolio, market entry, operating model or energy transition strategy
- Strong quantitative skills, including experience building or reviewing market, financial or scenario models
- The ability to synthesis evidence into concise, practical recommendations for senior decision-makers
- Experience managing project teams or major workstreams, including planning work and developing junior colleagues
- Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence working with senior clients and multidisciplinary teams
- The ability to support proposals, account development and the creation of relevant market insight
- Experience using artificial intelligence, with a clear aptitude for applying it to research, analysis and client delivery

Infrastructure and Real Estate
Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team supports both public and private sector clients on complex infrastructure, real estate, and capital projects. Typical engagements include urban regeneration, transport, energy and renewables, and occupier advisory to central government and large corporate companies.
Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
