The Role
Would you like to be part of our mission to drive excellence in financial systems and support global business operations? We are seeking a D365 Systems Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in the monitoring, administration, and continuous improvement of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) environment.
The D365 Systems Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of D365 Finance & Operations systems. This role will leverage deep knowledge of D365 Project Management and Accounting, accounting hierarchies, and workflow automation to support robust financial processes and reporting across the organization.
You’ll Support Our Success By:
- Applying best practices in monitoring and administration of D365 systems, ensuring system health, security, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Managing and utilizing D365 Projects, leveraging project functionality to enhance accounting and reporting capabilities.
- Applying knowledge of the D365 inheritance hierarchy to ensure accurate derivation of accounting dimensions and financial data integrity.
- Overseeing project accounting, including the management of deferrals, accruals, and releases.
- Administering and optimizing D365 Workflows to drive efficient business processes, and monitoring/troubleshooting workflow issues for seamless operations.
- Coordinating and supporting testing initiatives, including automation and user-based testing, and encouraging timely completion of user testing activities.
- Planning and managing test suites for new software versions, major releases, and routine monthly updates.
- Monitoring and investigating ledger to subledger reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
- Identifying and categorizing change requests for ongoing system improvements and review.
- Collaborating with global organizations, managing system maintenance across multiple currencies and complex tax and accounting requirements. Including The Americas, India and Europe.
- Providing training and support to finance users on D365 features, processes, and best practices.
- Ensuring data integrity and security, conducting regular audits and working closely with IT to maintain robust data protection measures.
- Leading a team composed of highly skilled and committed professionals. The team is responsible for level 2 support, and your role will involve providing mentorship as well as offering guidance and assistance in level 3 support matters.

Technical Skills
- D365 Finance & Operations: Deep experience with D365 Projects, accounting hierarchies, workflows, and financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets).
- Workflow Automation: Proven ability to design, administer, and optimize D365 workflows.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Experience planning and executing test suites, including automation and user-based testing.
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of project accounting, deferrals, accruals, releases, and reconciliation processes.
- Process Improvement: Ability to identify, categorize, and implement system/process enhancements.
- Security & Compliance: Familiarity with role-based access control, data protection, and audit logging.
- Global Operations: Experience supporting systems in multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional environments.
