Manager, Finance Transformation

The Opportunity
Our Business Consulting Finance team helps organisations transform their Finance functions into business-focused, agile, and cost-effective operations that deliver greater value to stakeholders. We partner with clients across a range of industries to design and implement operating models, processes, and technologies that improve performance, enhance controls, and support strategic decision-making.
As part of our continued growth in Northern Ireland and across the island of Ireland, we are seeking a Manager to join our Finance Transformation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading organisations, helping them reimagine Finance through process optimisation, operating model transformation, digital enablement, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Your Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Work as part of high-performing client engagement teams, delivering Finance Transformation projects across a range of industries.
- Deliver high-quality work products within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Support the design and implementation of Finance operating models, process improvements, automation initiatives, and digital Finance solutions.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high standard of client service and delivery.
Business Development & Practice Growth
- Support business development activities, including proposal development, client presentations, and market initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across the broader EY network.
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and support Finance Transformation growth objectives.
- Contribute to practice development through thought leadership, marketing activities, capability development, and knowledge sharing.

Subject Matter Expertise
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across Finance Transformation disciplines.
- Stay current with emerging trends in Finance, digital transformation, automation, analytics, and Finance technologies.
- Apply business insight and problem-solving skills to help clients address complex operational and strategic challenges.
- Continuously develop expertise and contribute to innovation within the Finance Transformation team.
People & Team Leadership
- Support, coach, and develop junior team members.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
- Contribute to team development and capability building initiatives.
- Promote EY's culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusion.
To Qualify for the Role
Essential
- Significant experience supporting and delivering Finance Transformation programmes.
- Strong expertise in Finance Process Improvement and Standardisation, Financial Reporting and Performance Management, Finance Automation and Digital Transformation, Finance Operating Models, and Shared Services/Global Business Services.
- Experience working across core Finance processes, including Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Management Reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across business and Finance functions.
- Experience managing workstreams and delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project delivery skills.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting the development of junior team members.
- Experience with Finance technologies, ERP platforms, analytics tools, automation solutions, or AI-enabled Finance capabilities.

Desirable
- Previous management consulting experience.
- Professional qualification such as MBA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, PMP, Prince2 or equivalent.
- Experience supporting business development activities, proposal development, and client pursuits.
