Location: We operate a hybrid working model, typically combining office and remote work, but remain flexible to suit individual and role needs. Our teams are based across the UK, and we welcome applications from talented individuals regardless of location, provided they can attend in-person meetings when needed. Some roles may also require occasional travel to client sites, and we support our people to make these arrangements smoothly.

We are looking to bring on board individuals who are passionate about:
- Finance service design and operating model transformation
- Finance technology enablement
- Enabling and embedding change across Finance and the wider organisation
- Leading client delivery and internal capability development
As a Manager within our Finance Transformation team, you will play a pivotal leadership role on our client engagements. You will guide clients through the design and implementation of future-state Finance services, manage complex delivery programmes, and work closely with senior stakeholders such as CFOs. You will also help shape the internal Finance capability at Veran, contributing to our growth and reputation as the leading Finance Transformation consultancy in the UK.
About the Role As a Finance Transformation Manager, you will lead workstreams, programmes and teams across a variety of Finance transformation projects. You will:
Project Leadership and Delivery:
- Advise clients on Finance service design, future-state operating models, and the capabilities required to support new technologies
- Define and shape transformation roadmaps and implementation plans
- Support business case development and define a clear case for change
- Lead the design of future-state services, including operating model options such as shared services or retained functions
- Guide the implementation of Finance technology solutions, working across functional, organisational and change dimensions
- Oversee and manage delivery risks, ensuring issues are identified and resolved proactively
- Translate strategic vision into tangible changes, helping clients embed new ways of working
- Act as a key liaison between Finance stakeholders and technical delivery teams to ensure alignment of business needs with system design

Client Engagement and Expertise:
- Regularly engage with CFOs and senior Finance leaders to influence, advise and shape transformation agendas
- Lead client workshops and presentations to facilitate design decisions
- Provide thought leadership on Finance transformation trends, technologies, and service models
Internal Development:
- Mentor and develop junior consultants within the Veran Finance Community
- Contribute to internal capability-building projects and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Support business development, including writing proposals and contributing to client pitches
About You This role is ideal for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant experience (typically 8+ years) in Finance Transformation. You will be confident engaging with senior stakeholders and leading large-scale change initiatives across Finance.
Essential:
- Professional Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading Finance transformation programmes
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Deep understanding of Finance operating models, shared service models, and enabling technologies
- Experience working directly with CFOs and senior Finance stakeholders

Desirable:
- Experience setting up or managing a Finance Shared Service Centre
- Familiarity with SaaS Finance platforms such as Oracle, SAP or Workday
- Strong programme and change management expertise
