Manager – Financial Due Diligence, Financial Services – London

The Opportunity

EY's UK Financial Services Financial Due Diligence team advises corporate, private equity and financial services clients on some of the market's most significant transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and IPOs.

Working across the Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and Asset Management sectors, you will support clients through complex transactions by providing financial due diligence, financial analysis and commercial insight. You will work within integrated, multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to a broad range of high profile engagements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager within Financial Due Diligence, you will play a leading role in the delivery of financial due diligence engagements, supporting clients in assessing opportunities, risks and value drivers throughout the transaction process.

You Will

  • Lead day to day execution of financial due diligence projects
  • Manage project plans, deliverables and timelines across multiple engagements
  • Analyse financial and operational information to identify key findings, risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and review high quality client deliverables, including reports, presentations and stakeholder discussions
  • Support clients in understanding transaction implications and provide commercially focused recommendations
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact throughout engagements
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Strategy and Transactions, Tax, Valuations and other service lines
  • Coach and develop junior team members, providing regular feedback and on the job support
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, client relationships and recruitment activities

Skills and Experience

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate

  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Experience gathering, assessing and interpreting financial information to support decision making
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience reviewing and presenting findings to both internal and external audiences
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting team development

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services or a related advisory environment
  • Financial Services sector experience, ideally within Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance or Asset Management
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of transaction processes
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional client service
