Role Overview

As Manager, Strategy & Business Development, you will report to the Strategy Director, Industrial Solutions and contribute to shaping the segment’s global strategy. You will work closely with segment and business unit leaders on critical growth, portfolio, and competitive initiatives.

  • Location: Flexible across Europe
  • Travel: Up to 20%

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the Industrial Solutions global strategic plan
  • Translate business questions into structured, well-defined strategic problems
  • Partner with segment and business unit teams to solve complex business challenges
  • Analyze markets, industries, competitors, technologies, and regulatory trends
  • Assess industry structure, competitive dynamics, and market attractiveness
  • Build analytical models and synthesize insights into clear, compelling stories
  • Lead fact-base development and drive effective communication of results
  • Contribute to the coaching and development of Analysts within the team

Your Ideal Background

Experience

  • Proven experience in strategy formulation and implementation within complex organizations
  • Strong track record managing strategy projects end to end
  • Background in a top-tier management consulting firm, ideally serving industrial or high-tech clients

Problem Solving & Communication

  • Hypothesis-driven, structured approach to complex problem solving
  • Strong analytical capabilities and comfort working with complex data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear business insights and recommendations

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Experience managing or mentoring individual contributors
  • Effective collaborator across levels, functions, and geographies
  • Strong influencing skills without formal authority
  • Hands-on mindset, with willingness to support strategy execution when needed
  • High cross-cultural awareness and stakeholder management capability
