About Global Compliance & Reporting
Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) is one of EY's five tax service lines. Our GCR professionals help businesses meet the demands of tax reporting, tax compliance, and tax risk management. Many of our engagements involve clients undergoing wider tax transformation and operating model change programmes.
Our team works with a wide range of businesses to develop and implement effective, practical and sustainable approaches to managing tax compliance and reporting in a global environment.
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our growing Global Tax Managed Services team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading multinational organizations, supporting complex global tax compliance, reporting, and transformation programmes.
Working closely with senior client stakeholders, including Heads of Tax, Finance Directors and global tax teams, you will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions, managing cross-border engagements and helping clients navigate an increasingly complex tax landscape.
You will collaborate with EY teams across the UK, India and Continental Europe, with opportunities to support wider teams in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary and France. As part of this energetic and diverse team, you will develop deep expertise in global tax operating models, managed services and transformation initiatives while maintaining regular contact with senior team members at our clients.
This is an exciting time to join our specialized team, as we continue to see strong demand for our services and meaningful growth opportunities across the global tax managed services market.

- Manage engagement governance, including adherence to agreed processes, procedures, service levels, and escalation routes.
- Proactively manage service delivery risk through issue/risk logs and appropriate escalation processes.
Tax transformation and operating model projects
- Support clients with the design and implementation of tax operating models and outsourced compliance processes.
- Help clients understand the full suite of compliance filings currently undertaken across relevant countries.
- Review and suggest improvements to compliance and reporting processes, including data sources, hand-off points, and controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax compliance and reporting processes through process optimization, technology enablement, and stronger governance.
- Share successful tools, techniques and approaches with other team members, and project management for small business development or methodology improvement projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
