The Opportunity

- Partner with renowned businesses, advising on complex international mobility, expatriate tax, and cross-border workforce challenges.
- Lead high-profile global tax projects, delivering exceptional client service and innovative solutions in an increasingly globalised world.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with leading multinational clients, providing expert support across expatriate tax, global mobility compliance, and international tax advisory services, leveraging your Japanese language skills to build strong and lasting relationships.
- Take ownership of complex client engagements, delivering high-quality solutions that help globally mobile employees and businesses navigate an evolving international tax landscape.
- Provide strategic and commercially focused advice on tax planning, compliance, and mobility programmes for internationally mobile workforces.
- Become a trusted advisor to clients, building deep relationships and delivering exceptional client service that drives long-term value.
- Lead risk management and quality assurance activities, conducting robust technical reviews and proactively identifying and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Collaborate with specialists across personal tax, employment tax, immigration, reward, and broader mobility services to deliver seamless, integrated solutions.
- Communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical concepts into practical, business-focused advice.
- Bring a strategic and commercial mindset, understanding the wider business objectives of clients and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
- Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture, sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and helping to develop the next generation of talent.
- Embrace opportunities to innovate, improve processes, and shape the future of global mobility services for a dynamic international client base.
Skills And Attributes For Success
You’ll have:
- Strong technical expertise in expatriate tax and global mobility.
- Fluent Japanese language skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be required to communicate with Japanese-speaking clients, stakeholders, and colleagues on a regular basis.
- Proven experience managing complex client portfolios.
- Excellent communicator with strong client‑engagement skills.
- Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and problem‑solving ability.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Collaborative team player and proactive leader.
- Strong relationship‑building skills, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management capability.
- Relevant qualifications (ATT/ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA/Law or equivalent).
