As a Manager, Global Transparency Reporting – EMEA:

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Manager, Global Transparency Reporting (GTR), who will be based in any major J&J location in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The Manager is a core member of the Health Care Compliance (HCC) Risk Management Solutions, Compliance Data Management, Analytics, and Reporting team, reporting to the Director, Global Transparency Reporting.

The responsibilities and the impact YOU will have:

Transparency Reporting Governance and Operations

  • Manage end-to-end execution of global transparency reporting activities, including planning, data collection, validation, submission, and post-submission corrections, ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and industry code requirements at both the regional and local/country level.
  • Lead governance processes through the development and maintenance of reporting methodologies, control frameworks, risk assessments, audit readiness activities, and remediation plans.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for complex reporting activities, reconciliations, data quality reviews, and remediation efforts.

People Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team through effective goal setting, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
  • Ensure appropriate workload balance, resource allocation, and workforce planning to support business objectives.
  • Build and/or sustain the reporting and compliance skills, technical capability, and business acumen of the team.

Regulatory Intelligence & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Monitor and assess emerging transparency regulations, industry codes, and disclosure requirements, and translating regulatory changes into actionable reporting and process requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted compliance advisor through proactive collaboration with Health Care Compliance (HCC) teams, Legal, Finance, Business Technology, and other regional and/or country stakeholders to drive alignment on reporting requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and process improvements.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement strategies that improve awareness, accountability, and ownership of transparency reporting responsibilities.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Demonstrate an Operational Excellence mindset by driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting best practices across business, compliance, and transparency reporting processes.
  • Lead the identification, design, and implementation of process, system, and reporting enhancements to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of transparency reporting processes.
  • Identify and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives that enhance data quality and promote efficient data collection.

Digital Solutions, Automation & Technology Enablement

  • Partner with transparency reporting solutions, compliance data management, and business technology to design scalable, sustainable reporting capabilities.
  • Oversee system enhancement initiatives, testing activities, implementation readiness, and change management efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage and adopt automation, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and compliance outcomes.

Data Analytics and Reporting Insights

  • Oversee the development of reporting analytics and visualization to identify reporting risks, trends, compliance insights, and opportunities for operational and compliance improvement.

Knowledge Management & Capability Building

  • Ensure critical reporting knowledge is documented, maintained, and effectively communicated across the organization.
  • Manage the development of training programs, learning resources, and stakeholder communications that strengthen transparency reporting capability.

Other duties as assigned by HCC Risk Management Solutions management.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and proven leadership skills. Demonstrated experience in prioritizing needs and implementing system or process enhancements is required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to successfully interact with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment and navigate a complex, matrixed environment. Candidates will also seek to add value to the organization through collaborative innovation and self-identified process improvements. The successful candidate will have proven excellent technical skills, a strong work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have the following essential requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Extensive years of experience in HCC or a related compliance function (regulatory, quality, finance, etc.).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with ability to explain compliance and transparency reporting requirements clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects of varying size, value, and complexity.
  • Ability to seek out and identify multiple, varied sources of data to consolidate them into meaningful quantitative analysis or reports.
  • Demonstrated experience with database and reporting tools.
  • Experience managing recurring, complex compliance or regulatory reporting processes.
  • Experience supporting operational excellence or process improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Professional certification in Compliance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Project Management, Process Excellence, or related disciplines (e.g., CCEP-I, Seton Hall or INSEAD, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent)
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Experience in transparency disclosures (e.g., EFPIA, MedTech Europe, CMS Open Payments Reporting/State Reporting or other local requirements).
  • Experience designing and/or implementing new systems and tools.
  • Experience influencing, negotiating, and connecting with business partners/leaders in global or regional or role and with external partners.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Exposure to audit support, regulatory inspections, or internal compliance monitoring.
  • Experience using analytics, visualization, and automation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, SQL, Power Platform, SharePoint, or similar technologies.
