TGS HSEQ Manager

We are looking for an experienced HSEQ professional to lead key initiatives and support safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
Purpose And Scope
Under the guidance of the Director, HSEQ Project Management, provide HSEQ support during all phases of projects, with a specific focus on risk mitigation of key project risks. In addition, the role includes providing HSEQ input throughout the bid and tender process and working closely with clients to understand and meet their expectations.
Responsible for effective oversight and implementation of the TGS HSEQ program related to support of the Marine Data Acquisitions group with the goal of providing a safe and effective working environment.
This role involves managerial responsibilities, including overseeing team members, setting goals, and ensuring project alignment with organizational objectives.
This is an advanced managerial role with strategic input into the company’s overall vision, mission, values, and goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Marine Data Acquisitions to achieve compliance with Company HSEQ policies / procedures and governmental regulations, and recommend corrective actions as deemed necessary.
- Support Marine Data Acquisitions in project HSEQ planning and continued project acquisition monitoring including project close out and review.
- Provide regular HSEQ updates, presentations, and reports to clients, ensuring transparency and accountability in all project phases.
- Onshore contact with the onboard project Medics, HSE Advisors, and FSP (as necessary).
- Oversight of the initial selection (vetting) and ongoing supervision of HSE Advisors.
- Oversight of the initial review of proposed Medics and ongoing supervision while on a project.
- Monitor the HSEQ reporting system to ensure correct classification and completeness of reports.
- Support other departments in HSEQ matters.
- Develop project specific HSEQ documentation.
- Lead or assist in event investigations, coordinate, and conduct the review process to determine root cause and monitor the recommendations and closure of any actions until the closure of the investigation.
- Liaise with Crewing and Service Delivery teams to ensure that Short Service Personnel (SSP) statuses and mitigations meet company, project, and client standards.
- Work with the HSEQ Support Team to ensure compliance with company and regulatory HSEQ standards. As necessary, collaborate on the development and management of project documentation.
- Any other tasks as directed by the Director, HSEQ Project Management.

Key Competencies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSEQ management.
- Degree in Occupational Safety, NEBOSH Diploma, CSP certification, or equivalent.
- Able to work well within a team, have good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work within structured Management Systems.
- Proven ability to produce and deliver Management System and project-related HSEQ documentation.
- Good organizational skills, with high ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional training and certification, through an accredited organization, in Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, ensuring expertise in compliance, risk management, and regulatory adherence.
Key Performance Metrics
- Deliver on annual HSEQ department and personal KPIs.
- Communicate and collaborate with all project-related stakeholders.
- Participate in EnerGeo / IOGP workgroups / forums as requested.
