Role Context:
Worley is seeking an experienced Project Risk Management Lead to support the effective identification, assessment, management, and reporting of project risks across assigned projects and regional activities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk, the role will provide leadership and technical expertise in project risk management, ensuring consistent application of Worley risk management processes, tools, and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with project teams, project controls, engineering, construction, commercial, and client stakeholders, the successful candidate will facilitate informed decision-making through qualitative and quantitative risk analysis while supporting the ongoing development of risk management capability across the business.
You will do:
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of project risk management processes across assigned projects and regional activities.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project Risk Management Plans, Risk Registers, and associated documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate risk identification workshops and ensure risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions are effectively captured and managed.
- Support Risk Owners in the development of risk response strategies and action plans.
- Conduct and facilitate qualitative and quantitative cost and schedule risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain risk models, analyse outputs, and communicate findings to project and business stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and coaching to project teams on risk management processes, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Worley risk management procedures, standards, and governance requirements.
- Monitor project risk performance and identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities requiring management attention.
- Support business development opportunities relating to risk management services and capability.
- Participate in regional and global risk management forums, councils, and improvement initiatives.
- Deliver risk management training, workshops, and awareness sessions to project and functional teams.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development support to junior risk management professionals.
- Build strong working relationships with project teams, clients, and key stakeholders to promote proactive risk management and informed decision-making.
- Promote continuous improvement of risk management systems, processes, and methodologies across the business.

You'll be able/have:
- Higher National Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Recognised Risk Management qualification (IRM Certificate in Risk Management or equivalent experience).
- Typically 10+ years' experience in project risk management within engineering, construction, energy, infrastructure, or major project environments.
- Strong experience facilitating project risk workshops and risk identification activities.
- Advanced knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience performing cost and schedule risk analysis.
- Experience using specialist risk management and Monte Carlo simulation software.
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes, project controls, scheduling, estimating, and commercial risk management principles.
- Experience leading or mentoring risk management professionals.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities.
- Ability to influence project teams and provide constructive challenge to ensure effective risk management outcomes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project risk management software systems.
- Degree-level qualification in Risk Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- Experience within EPC/EPCM project environments and knowledge of Worley project delivery systems would be beneficial.
