As the Manager in Training, your primary focus will be to drive the daily operations within the Goods In department. In this role, you will ensure all daily call-offs and export orders are efficiently picked and fulfilled, whilst maintaining high team morale and upholding five star customer service. By leading from the front, you will motivate the team to meet tight deadlines while ensuring our high standards never slip. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in our growth.

This will be a challenging and demanding, hands-on role for which you will possess relevant warehouse experience and demonstrate a high level of understanding of all aspects of warehouse operations, stock control principles and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of staff and overseeing work organised by team leaders
• Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods
• Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
• Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and visions and how the warehouse supports them
• Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventories are accurate
• Planning future capacity requirements
• Organising the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring performance and progress
• Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
• Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Briefing team leaders daily
• Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
• Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
• Maintain and update SOP’s
• Predominantly working a day shift however flexibility may be required
