Accenture is a leading global professional services company, providing a broad range of services in strategy and consulting, interactive, technology and operations, with digital capabilities across all of these services. With our thought leadership and culture of innovation, we apply industry expertise, diverse skill sets and next-generation technology to each business challenge.

We are recruiting for talented technologists to join the Insurance Architecture team within Accenture’s UK Insurance & Financial Services Industry and Enterprise practice, helping us shape and deliver digital change for our clients.

“Across the globe, one thing is universally true of the people of Accenture: We care deeply about what we do and the impact we have with our clients and with the communities in which we work and live. It is personal to all of us.” – Julie Sweet, Accenture CEO

As a team:

Insurance Architecture is the dedicated digital architecture and technology team within Accenture’s UK Insurance & Financial Services Industry and Enterprise practice. We are a small, high-impact team of senior architects and technologists who shape and assure complex digital change for some of the UK’s leading insurers, life offices, wealth managers and platform providers, and advising CIOs, CTOs and Chief Architects on major investment plans and technology and platform decisions.

Our work spans General Insurance, Life, Pensions & Investments, London Markets, Capital Markets and the wider Financial Services market, supporting clients in areas such as journey to cloud, digital transformation in underwriting and claims, applications of AI and GenAI, and large-scale platform re-platforming.

Our operating model is built around six functional pillars – Solution Architecture; Enterprise Architecture & System Design; ML, AI & GenAI; Data Architecture; Cyber Security; and Cloud & Infrastructure. Each team member develops deep expertise in one or more pillars and helps us build capability across the team, enabling us to deploy rapidly onto client engagements with both depth and resilience.

We were recently recognised by the Financial Times as one of the UK’s leading Management Consultants in Insurance.

In our team you will have the opportunity to:

  • Invent and provide solutions to real-world problems across our Insurance and Financial Services clients, including solutions leveraging the latest technologies including GenAI and agentic AI.
  • Build on and develop your understanding of the Financial Services sector using our industry-proven models and reference architectures.
  • Act as the communication bridge between business and technology teams, helping ensure that solutions are aligned to true business needs.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with CIO, CTO, Chief Architect and senior business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from across the wider Accenture business – including Industry and Enterprise, Technology, Song, Operations – to create differentiated offerings and enable the best outcomes for our clients.
  • Deliver tangible, transformational change for clients, helping to shape the insurance and financial services industries of the future.

As an Enterprise & Solution Architect Manager within Insurance Architecture, you will:

  • Contribute across all six of our functional pillars on client engagements – with a particular focus on Applications, Integration and Data as well as AI, Cloud and Cyber Security – and developing your skills as an SME in one or more areas.
  • Lead technology advisory engagements and architecture workstreams within larger programmes, shaping technology solutions for our clients, leading and working on client engagements that range from architecture assessments and product selections through to major business and technology transformation programmes.
  • Define, shape and deliver enterprise and solution architecture artefacts (current-state, target-state, roadmaps and transition states, integration patterns, capability maps) for clients across Insurance and Financial Services.
  • Become familiar with and help to enhance our industry specific reference architecture frameworks, which form a core part of our proposition to our clients.
  • Shape and lead client engagements – from cloud strategy and solution architecture designs for major programmes to IT strategy roadmaps for an entire business – and lead teams in the delivery of quality outputs and client outcomes.
  • Partner with and demonstrate credibility to CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects and other senior client stakeholders through clear, well-structured and insightful analysis and evidence-based advice, acting as a trusted technology adviser and helping to shape clients’ investment decisions and strategic thinking.
  • Support sales, proposals and business development activities, including client presentations, solution shaping, effort estimation and commercial input.
  • Build and maintain relationships across client organisations and Accenture account teams and contribute to account growth by identifying follow-on opportunities and helping clients develop investment cases and transformation strategies.
  • Contribute to and lead thought leadership on the application of technology in financial services, developing distinctive points of view on emerging technologies and trends and representing Accenture at industry forums, conferences and client events.
  • Actively contribute to growing and diversifying the Insurance Architecture team, managing, mentoring and coaching colleagues and helping us continuously raise the bar and to develop consulting, architecture and industry/domain skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
