Job Description

Connect to your Industry

Our team combine the latest audit tools, technological innovations, and agile processes and procedures to deliver high-quality audits. We are proud of our role performing work in the public interest and our audit team are dedicated to the highest standards of independence, professional objectivity, and technical excellence.

We audit a broad range of listed organisations and their subsidiaries in the UK and internationally, as well as other public interest entities such as banks and insurers. We also have vast audit experience in the private sector, including entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses. We have strong industry credentials across the financial services and corporate landscape and can draw on a wide range of specialists and experts across our extensive global network.

Connect to your career at Deloitte

Deloitte drives progress. Using our vast range of expertise, we help our clients become leaders wherever they choose to compete. To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

What brings us all together at Deloitte? It's how we approach the thousands of decisions we make every day. How we behave, our beliefs, and our attitudes. In other words: our values. Whatever we do, wherever we are in the world, we lead the way, serve with integrity, take care of each other, foster inclusion, and collaborate for measurable impact. These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.

Connect to your opportunity

In the insurance audit team, we work with a wide range of businesses, from listed insurers (life and non-life) to the top international insurance brokers, Lloyd's syndicates, and many more across the UK. The team has seen consistent growth in recent years, and this is due to continue making it a very exciting time to be joining the team.

We are looking to expand our team of focused, aspirational, and collaborative insurance practitioners, and as such we are offering the opportunity to join as a Director in our Insurance Audit Group to support this challenging and rapidly expanding business.

You can expect senior-level exposure and variety. You will work with some of the most influential companies in the UK and internationally, offering expert insights across the whole business. Innovation is key for us, underpinned by audit quality. You will be joining a diverse team of experts capable of delivering meaningful and durable change for both our clients and our profession.

As a member of our team, reporting to a Director/Partner, you will:

  • Field manage audit engagements, including management of client relationships and coaching audit teams.
  • Supervise teams to successfully execute engagements in accordance with Deloitte methodology and quality standards, and work to deadlines.
  • Drive our continuous improvement in audit methodology.
  • Participate in business development campaigns and responses to tenders from new and existing clients.
  • Participate and lead on other assurance projects drawing on your skills around accounting, controls, and regulation.
  • Participate in practice management activities, including facilitation of internal training courses, staff development, and practice reviews.
  • Engage with and support wellbeing activities within engagement teams and the wider Insurance Team.
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds, etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm while being employed by the firm).
