Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Application Solutioning & Architecture
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise business applications.
- Define application architecture, technical standards, and best practices.
- Review solution designs to ensure scalability, security, maintainability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by evaluating and recommending appropriate technologies and platforms.
Application Development & Platform Governance
- Provide technical leadership for OutSystems, Microsoft Power Platform, and other low-code platforms.
- Establish development governance, coding standards, release management, and application lifecycle management practices.
- Review and approve solution designs from internal teams and vendors.
- Ensure applications are audit-ready and adequately documented.
AI & Automation Enablement
- Drive AI adoption within the organization through Enterprise AI platforms (Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Generative AI).
- Identify and implement AI use cases that improve operational efficiency and user productivity.
- Develop and govern AI-powered solutions, chatbots, knowledge management systems, and digital assistants.
- Provide guidance on AI governance, security, and responsible use.
Business Engagement & Solution Consulting
- Engage business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate requirements into technology solutions.
- Conduct platform suitability assessments and recommend optimal solutions.
- Support project estimation, planning, and implementation activities.
Vendor & Project Management
- Manage vendors and project teams to ensure delivery quality and adherence to timelines.
- Participate in system evaluations, procurement activities, and technical reviews.
- Ensure successful delivery of enhancement projects and new solution implementations.

Knowledge Management & Documentation
- Establish and maintain application documentation standards.
- Drive automation of system documentation, knowledge repositories, and support processes.
- Support knowledge transfer and capability development across IT teams.
Team Mentoring & Capability Building
- Mentor developers and citizen developers.
- Provide technical coaching on application architecture, AI technologies, and development best practices.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Quality Assurance, Governance & Application Compliance
- Establish and enforce development standards, coding guidelines, security requirements, and review processes.
- Oversee testing strategies, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production readiness reviews.
- Ensure proper release management, deployment governance, and post-implementation support processes are followed.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in IT management, application development, solution architecture, or technology leadership roles, preferably within an IT Shared Services environment.
- Proven experience managing enterprise web and portal application development teams, preferably utilizing OutSystems (O11 and ODC), Microsoft Power Platform, or other Low-Code/No-Code platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing AI-powered solutions, including Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, AI chatbots, intelligent automation, or related AI technologies.
- Experience in translating business requirements into AI-enabled solutions and driving AI adoption across business functions.
- Familiarity with AI development concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, AI agents, knowledge management solutions, and AI governance practices.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise applications, workflows, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of AI security, privacy, responsible AI principles, and governance frameworks.
- Experience leading Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), technology evaluations, and innovation initiatives related to AI and automation.

Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps, API integrations, and cloud technologies.
- Expertise in OutSystems, Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, and enterprise application development best practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot ecosystem, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI Services, Azure AI Foundry, or equivalent AI platforms.
- Understanding of AI model deployment, prompt engineering, chatbot development, workflow orchestration, and intelligent automation capabilities.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks covering application security, development standards, architecture reviews, and AI compliance requirements.
Leadership Competencies
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop application, AI, and Low-Code/No-Code development teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to business audiences.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, digital transformation, AI adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Certifications (Advantageous)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
- Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 Specialization
- OutSystems Professional / Associate Reactive Developer Certification
- AI Governance, Generative AI, or Cloud Architecture related certifications
