Job Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading and managing teams of analysts and software engineers supporting the Clinical and Provider applications. The teams are a hybrid model of on-shore and off-shore resources. The Manager collaborates extensively with the Operations areas, the clients, Product Engineering, and Infrastructure areas. This role involves guiding the team in optimizing system performance, ensuring high system availability, and delivering solutions that streamline clinical workflows and enhance the provider and patient experience.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analysts and software engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Application Support & Operations: Oversee the day-to-day support operations, incident management, and lifecycle maintenance for core Clinical and Provider applications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Clinical and Provider leadership, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure work is prioritized appropriately and the team is meeting client expectations.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party software vendors to manage service-level agreements (SLAs), troubleshoot complex issues, and integrate new product updates or patches.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related discipline

Substitutions:

  • None

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related discipline

Experience

Required:

  • 5 years in a leadership / mentoring role
  • 5 years of planning, implementing, maintaining, and growing capabilities within relevant discipline
  • 3 years of developing, communicating, and presenting concepts to varying audiences

Pay Range

  • Minimum: $118,400.00
  • Maximum: $196,800.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
