Maintenance Manager - Milton Keynes

At Sensient Technologies, we are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Milton Keynes to support the site engineers.

You will maintain equipment, buildings, facilities, grounds and services to meet operational requirements, engineering standards and statutory regulations.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain the Milton Keynes’ facility, plant, safety equipment and systems to comply with GMP standards and Health, Safety & Environment requirements, notably ATEX regulations
  • Schedule, action and document statutory testing of vessels, equipment, boilers, all equipment and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Propose and collaborate with the design and execution of capital engineering improvement initiatives
  • Manage an effective Preventative Planned Maintenance system to identify and repair faults and minimize unscheduled shutdowns
  • Effectively delegate work to the engineers and ensure maintenance staff are trained and competent to carry-out the tasks assigned to them
  • Exercise budgetary supervision, minimum inventory holdings, controlled use of energy, internal labor and third-party contractors
  • Monitor effluent discharge levels, escalate consent limits, whilst developing, implementing and managing KPI’s

What you’ll bring:

  • HNC or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Relevant experience managing an engineering or maintenance function within a chemical or food or beverage processing environment is mandatory
  • A sound working knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, mechanical systems and civil construction
  • Engineering management of hazardous environments and a thorough working knowledge of ATEX
  • Knowledge of Maintenance planning systems + Inventory Tracker
