RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage and collaborate with senior leadership to drive overall Maintenance strategies including Capex budget development and execution.
- Responsible for the maintenance of site, buildings, machinery, and equipment within the facility.
- Supervision of the Maintenance team.
- Selecting and monitoring contractors providing services.
- Analytically resolve mechanical & electrical malfunctions back to OEM Specifications.
- Working with Project Engineers to improve quality, runtime, and throughput from systems/equipment.
- Monitoring utilities and working with providers.
- Providing compliance with city, county, state, and federal agency requirements.
- Writing requisitions/purchase orders for services and equipment needs.
- Oversee the retention of maintenance records and inspection reports.
- Assure compliance with all company policies, to include proper PPE requirements.
- Document and keep current basic work instructions, policies, procedures or other directional material.
- Perform maintenance tasks as needed.
- Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong understanding of drives and PLC’s
- Understanding of process improvements.
- Ability to interact with vendors.
- Excellent working knowledge of Industrial Maintenance, math, electronics, computers, and ergonomics.
- Knowledge of steel processing preferred.
- Six sigma skills preferred.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) preferred.
- At least 5-7 years as a Manufacturing/Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager/Supervisor (or similar) within an industrial facility preferred.
- Strong project management skills.
- Good communication & collaboration skills.
- Ability to oversee complex CMMS PM program.
- Ability to develop maintenance personnel and skills.
- Solid knowledge of computer-based software and tools.
- Ability to work in an ever-changing work environment.
- Good understanding of basic machinery.
- Good mechanical & electrical aptitude.
- CAD skills with a good understanding of dimensioning & tolerancing is a plus.
- Programming skills with Allen Bradley/ABB/ Fanuc/Siemens systems preferred.
- Ability to overcome obstacles and find reasonable resolutions to situations on a case-by-case basis as encountered.
- Must have the ability and confidence to make decisions relating to role’s accountabilities.
- Ability to exercise discretion when determining if direction from manager is needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Although limited must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights up to 50’ and work in confined spaces.
- You must be able to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, squatting, and while laying on your stomach or back.
- There will be some contact with liquid paint, solvents, greases, and oils.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
- Potential for varying temperatures with extreme heat.
