Job Purpose
The Membership Team’s key objective is retention, acquisition and growth across the membership base.
To deliver the relationship management strategy across the breadth of UK Finance working to key annual objectives.
To build strategic, long term and trusted partnerships with members and internal stakeholders
To insightfully serve members and enhance the member experience
Champion the member voice by gleaning member priorities, insights, and feedback and communicating these back into UK Finance to support development of our policy, operational delivery and commercial activities
To broaden and deepen member engagement and communicate the value proposition effectively to the member base
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for a diverse portfolio of members across all product and service streams at UK Finance
- To support Business Leads across UK Finance to identify opportunity to broaden engagement and grow interaction across the membership base including preparing the agenda for and chairing regular cross-team meetings
- To attend UK Finance events as required to broaden knowledge of the issues members face and to network
- To promote best practice across tools and processes aimed at building and showcasing member value
- To champion member interests both internally and in the wider business community
- To help develop and build on member engagement strategy for specific member cohorts
- To produce member briefings for our CEO and Chairman
- Leading on activities to enhance and member engagement
- To provide ‘best in class’ relationship management to UK Finance Members

Skills and Competencies
- Broad knowledge of financial services and UK Finance brand
- Stakeholder & relationship management
- Microsoft Dynamics experience helpful but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive can-do attitude who is willing to get into the detail to develop practical answers to complex issues
- Proactive and diligent with the ability to deliver to deadline and to a high standard making contingency plans if necessary, in order to adapt to changing work priorities, deadlines and milestones.
- Considers the needs and level of the audience when and adapting communication style accordingly
- Works collaboratively across all internal departments in order to harness skills and experience from across the business to deliver high quality services for members
- Remains effective under pressure and confronts difficult situations as soon as they arise.
- Understands what other colleagues need to know and keeps them informed.

Qualifications
- A degree or other equivalent, relevant qualification or experience
Other information
- Whilst no immediate direct reports, there is opportunity for line management with tenure.
