Messaging Product Policy Manager
Messaging Product Policy is seeking a product policy manager to drive policy development and regulatory strategy across Meta's messaging products — Messenger, Instagram Direct, and WhatsApp — with a focus on fraud and scams, user safety, enforcement precision, and AI-powered product integrations. This role sits at the intersection of product integrity and government engagement, and will own the policy response to regulatory frameworks governing online safety in the UK and EU.
In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Trust and Safety, Engineering, Legal, Public Policy, Communications, and Operations teams to develop scalable policy solutions, shape enforcement approaches, and support regulatory readiness. You will also help shape policy approaches for AI integrations across messaging products — including generative AI features, AI-assisted communications, and automated experiences. You will use AI tools as part of your daily workflow to drive efficiency and analytical rigor.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine policies governing fraud, scams, and safety across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram Direct, with emphasis on improving enforcement efficiency and precision
- Stay informed on regulatory developments relevant to messaging products and work with Public Policy teams to ensure product policy accounts for regulatory requirements
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to translate regulatory obligations into product requirements and scalable enforcement solutions
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation to improve policy operations, analysis, and decision-making workflows
- Build cross-functional relationships across product, communications, legal, operations, and public policy teams
- Act as an escalation point of contact for integrity issues and manage internal communications for policy matters
- Review product launches for policy risks related to scams, safety, and regulatory compliance

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
