About the Role
The Manager of Enterprise Applications is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for leading the team that is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of all Enterprise applications in use at the firm, while supervising and developing their staff. This role will be located in our Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Organising, assigning, delegating and coordinating the work of the staff to ensure department objectives are met timely and accurately; generating a formal performance evaluation for departmental employees
- Drafts communications announcing software upgrades, application fixes, deployment of security patches and other notifications to Technology Managers in all offices
- Acting as lead resource for technology questions, issues, upgrades, and installations for the firm
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining the firm’s enterprise applications systems under his or her vertical; examples include but are not limited to business productivity tools, the firm’s AI tools, Teams, and the Microsoft 365 suite
- Developing and deploying software fixes, security patches, and feature updates to maintain a secure and stable environment

We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Exhibit knowledge of and proficiency in multi-tier enterprise application platforms, including Microsoft SQL databases, web services (Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat), and application specific services
- Display analytical skills needed to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems, and test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems
- Possess the ability to use database software, spreadsheet, and word processing software and equipment to complete analysis and reports
- And have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience in the Information Technology profession
- Experience in Information Technology management
- Experience in the field of Information Technology software within the legal industry, preferably
