The role
We are seeking an experienced and professionally qualified Accounts Manager or Senior Manager to join our highly regarded Farms & Estates team based in Taunton.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team that delivers specialist accounting, taxation, and advisory services to farming, landed estate, and wider agri-related businesses.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, building strong and lasting relationships, and providing high-quality financial and business advice. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of both clients' businesses and the Farms & Estates service line.
Depending on experience, the successful candidate will operate at either Manager or Senior Manager level, taking an active role in leadership, business development, team development, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of Farms & Estates clients, acting as their trusted adviser
- Review and oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, and associated compliance work
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and risk management procedures
- Provide commercially focused advice on business performance, profitability, succession planning, diversification projects, and strategic growth opportunities
- Mentor and develop and supervise junior team members, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance support
- Contribute to operational improvements, resource planning, and the continued growth of the Farms & Estates department

What we need from you
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience
- Current or previous experience as a Manager or Senior Manager in practice, with rural / land / estates experience
- Confident and collaborative team player
- Communication and leadership skills including developing others
- Excellent people skills and the ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service to clients
- Self-motivation and a strong work ethic
