The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Paid Search Manager to join our Search team and take ownership of paid search strategy, campaign delivery, and performance across a portfolio of accounts.
You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing effective search strategies, managing campaigns across platforms including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, and using data and insights to drive performance against client objectives.
This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility, combining strategic thinking, campaign optimisation, client management, and team leadership. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and wider digital teams to ensure Paid Search plays an effective role within the broader marketing mix.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management and delivery of Paid Search campaigns across multiple markets and search engines.
- Develop and implement Paid Search strategies aligned to business and performance objectives.
- Own campaign activation, optimisation, analysis, and ongoing performance improvements.
- Monitor budgets, performance, and KPIs, making proactive recommendations where required.
- Analyse campaign data and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Prepare and present performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to clients.
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and act as a trusted Paid Search expert.
- Identify new opportunities, including platform developments, testing opportunities, betas, and new partnerships.
- Work closely with wider digital teams to ensure Search activity supports the overall marketing strategy.
- Manage, mentor, and support junior team members, ensuring high-quality work and sharing your expertise.
- Delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay up to date with the latest Paid Search developments, tools, and best practices and bring new ideas to the team.
- Translate complex Search concepts and performance insights into clear, accessible recommendations for clients and colleagues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
