Job Description

Global Merchant & Network Services

Global Merchant & Network Services brings together American Express' merchant and network-related businesses. This includes the management of our relationships across the globe with both the millions of merchants who accept American Express, as well as our partners in countries and territories that deliver card acceptance, issuance, and innovation.

GMNS Product leads the strategy, development, delivery, and operations of American Express network and acquirer products that power $1.9T+ in annual customer transactions. We serve our merchants, partners, and issuers across more than 170 markets worldwide, growing revenue by driving strategic, multi-year initiatives that deliver differentiated value to direct merchants, merchant partners, network partners, and ecosystem partners.

Within GMNS, the Product Growth organization is responsible for bringing Product and Network capabilities to market, evolving the product portfolio through partner engagement, and ensuring solutions work effectively with the right partners at the right time.

The Partner Solutions Consulting function sits at the center of the Product Growth pillar, working with our most strategic partners to co-create the technical roadmaps required to achieve shared commercial priorities. The team develops deep expertise in partner product strategies, identifies synergies with GMNS capabilities, and translates partner insights into prioritized product investments.

In this role, the Manager, Partner Solutions Consulting will deep dive into partners’ product strategies, identify synergies with Amex capabilities, and translate partner needs into our internal roadmaps for prioritized delivery.

This role reports directly into the Vice President, Partner Solutions Consulting and will closely collaborate with GMNS Product, Digital Labs, Partner Account Management, and senior partner stakeholders across geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage partner-specific technical roadmaps that align partner product strategies with GMNS Product priorities and shared commercial objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of strategic partners' business priorities and technical capabilities to identify opportunities that drive mutual growth and differentiated network solutions.
  • Translate partner requirements into well-defined product requirements, business cases, and roadmap recommendations, working closely with GMNS Product teams to prioritize enhancements and resolve competing priorities.
  • Represent partner perspectives in product planning, roadmap reviews, and prioritization discussions to help ensure customer and partner needs are reflected in product investment decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Solutions Enablement, Partner Account Management, other stakeholders to coordinate product delivery, launch readiness, and successful partner outcomes.
  • Support strategic product discussions with partner stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor while identifying risks, managing dependencies, and driving alignment across internal and external teams.
  • Capture and synthesize partner feedback, market insights, and industry trends to inform future product enhancements and continuous improvement of GMNS capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
