Manager, Partnerships & Events

About Zapp

Zapp is London's leading premium convenience retail platform. Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market, by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions. Zapp partners with some of the world's leading brands to deliver an exclusive range of hand-picked products 24/7, delivered in minutes.

The Role

This is not a partnerships role that lives in a pitch deck. Zapp works with London's best brands, sharpest venues and most discerning communities, and we need someone who can find them, land them, and ship them through to live activation.

The person we are looking for is culturally switched on, already networked into London, and instinctively knows what will land with a Zapp customer versus what will feel forced. You will own marketing partnerships, community activations, events, and cultural moments, and you will be accountable for making Zapp visible outside its own channels in ways that build the brand and move customers.

Your Remit

Marketing partnerships end to end

You will own marketing partnerships from identifying the brands, members' clubs, studios and venues worth partnering with, through shaping the proposition together, to running the activations we deliver as a result. Most of your time will be spent building joint events, experiences, pop-ups and member moments that put us alongside the brands our customer already engages with.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Community activations, offline and online

You will design and deliver community activations that build genuine engagement with our audience. You know which communities matter, which ones will just make a nice photo, and when to show up, when to sponsor, and when to stay away.

Events and PR

You will run the event calendar from venue selection through partner integration to guest experience. You are as comfortable managing a launch night for 300 people as you are hosting an intimate creator dinner for 20. You will also amplify your partnerships work through PR.

Cultural moments

You know what is happening in the city before it trends. You spot the collaboration, the activation or the moment that will genuinely move the needle for our audience. You bring ideas nobody asked for and you back them with a point of view.

Partner selection and brand fit

You are the guardian of what the brand stands next to. Every partnership you sign is a statement about how we see our customer. You hold the line on brand fit, even when the shortcut is tempting.

Core Competencies and Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing partnerships, brand activations, community or events, ideally within a premium consumer, hospitality or lifestyle brand.
  • A live network: You bring a network of brand contacts, agency partners, venue owners and community operators that you can activate from day one.
  • Activation craft: Track record of shipping partnerships end to end, not just proposing them. You can walk us through specific partnerships you have led from first outreach to live activation.
  • Sharp brand instinct: You can tell instantly whether a partner is right or wrong for the brand. You hold the line on brand fit even when commercial pressure says otherwise.
  • Operational discipline: Partnerships die without follow-through. You bring both taste and grit.
  • Collaborative by nature: You work closely with brand, creative, product and commercial teams and know how to build genuine partnerships internally as well as externally.
  • Bias to action: You move at pace, prefer shipping to perfecting, and get energy from seeing partnerships live.
