Manager - Procurement Consulting, Retail & Consumer

£75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Strong Hybrid Working but ideally someone who can get into London a few days a week. Candidates who need more flexibility will still be considered. Permanent role.

We’re supporting a growing management consultancy looking to hire a Manager into its Retail & Consumer practice. This is a client-facing consulting role for someone with a strong indirect procurement background who can lead projects across strategic sourcing, category management and procurement transformation.

The two key requirements are clear: you must have management consulting experience and you must have strong, hands-on indirect procurement experience. This role will not suit a generalist consultant without procurement depth, or an in-house procurement professional without consulting experience. Experience across Retail, Consumer, Hospitality or Food & Beverage would be particularly attractive, although strong consultants from other private-sector environments will also be considered.

The Role

  • Lead end-to-end procurement consulting engagements, taking ownership of delivery, client relationships, project teams and commercial outcomes.
  • Deliver projects across indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, category management and procurement transformation.
  • Advise senior client stakeholders, turning complex procurement and commercial challenges into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Lead and develop project teams while ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple workstreams and client priorities.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the practice through business development, proposals, thought leadership and development of new client opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
