Job Description

Overview

Global Merchant & Network Services brings together American Express' merchant and network-related businesses. This includes the management of our relationships across the globe with both the millions of merchants who accept American Express, as well as our partners in countries and territories that deliver card acceptance, issuance and innovation.

GMNS Product leads the strategy, development, delivery, and operations of American Express network and acquirer products that power $1.9T+ in annual customer transactions. We serve our merchants, partners, and issuers across more than 170 markets worldwide, growing revenue by driving strategic, multi-year initiatives that deliver differentiated value to direct merchants, merchant partners, network partners, and ecosystem partners.

Within GMNS, the Product Growth organization is responsible for bringing Product and Network capabilities to market, evolving the product portfolio through partner engagement, and ensuring solutions work effectively with the right partners at the right time.

The Product Partnerships team is a dedicated regional team focused on expanding the portfolio of third-party partners needed to enable GMNS products at scale while ensuring effective relationship governance. This includes proactively identifying and engaging new entrants and innovators, growing existing third-party relationships, managing relationship governance and oversight, and deepening strategic partnerships with American Express.

In this role, the Manager, Product Partnerships, will lead key aspects of the regional strategy and play a central role in managing technical partnerships and related compliance, driving project execution, and expanding the availability of solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally while gaining deep exposure to emerging payment technologies and evolving industry trends.

This role reports directly to the Director, Product Partnerships, and will partner extensively across GMNS Product, Solution Enablement, and Merchant Services.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Third-Party Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and execute regional third-party strategy designed to meet current and future customer, partner, and Amex needs.
    • Guide partners through product or capability adoption, testing and implementation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
