The Global Safety and Security team exists to keep it that way, protecting our people, property, operations, brand, and reputation across all our markets. We manage risk and create value through agility, technology, and a people-first approach. Our DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt brands span more than 40 countries, with EMEA representing our highest concentration of offices and executive travel activity outside North America. Protective Services sits within this team, focused specifically on the safety of our executives, their families, and the operations that support them.
About the Role
We are hiring a Manager, Protective Services (International) to build and own executive protection and physical security support for EMEA, with primary responsibility for executive travel into complex international markets. This is a build mandate, reporting to the Director, Protective Services. You shape and independently lead the end-to-end strategy for a travel security landscape that is often ambiguous and fast-changing, owning the resulting outcomes for informed, supported executive travel across EMEA. The core of the role is fusing protective intelligence with travel logistics and operations, so every international trip is backed by the latest risk picture and supported from advance planning through on-the-ground execution.
The role is organized around four areas of ownership: intelligence and logistics fusion for executive travel, protective posture and infrastructure development across EMEA, risk and vulnerability management for executive residences and travel programs, and the regional vendor and partner network that supports secure travel. You will own all four, working closely with the London Regional Operations Center intelligence team and the Director, Protective Services.
You manage the coordination of EMEA travel security activities with direct responsibility for results, including program costs, vendor budget, and staffing as the team grows. This role carries people management responsibility for Protective Services staff supporting EMEA operations, and you have the authority to recommend policy changes and establish the procedures this program runs on.
Success in this role means executives are informed and supported on every international trip, intelligence and logistics fused into one clear plan rather than handled as separate handoffs. That means journey management plans, vetted local security and medical support partners, and pre-travel briefings that give leadership the information to make an informed travel decision. This role is based in London, with travel of up to 50 percent. You will need to support extended hours, weekends, and after-hours operations during active deployments, and operate with sound judgment under pressure.

- Fuse intelligence with logistics and operations. Take intelligence products from the London Regional Operations Center and Protective Intelligence to translate them directly into travel logistics and operational decisions, so executives are informed and supported at every stage of an international trip. Own the last-mile integration between the risk picture and the plan on the ground: itinerary adjustments, routing, lodging, and contingency triggers, so intelligence never sits disconnected from execution.
- Own executive travel security in complex international markets. Serve as the Detail Lead for executive travel into complex international markets, owning advance planning, route assessment, and on-the-ground protective coverage. Build and maintain the journey management process for these movements, including secure lodging vetting, local ground security selection, and contingency planning for evacuation or medical emergency.
- Build the EMEA protective security program. Help define and execute the long-term strategy for protective operations across EMEA, aligning standards, systems, and capabilities with the broader global program. Build physical security programs that reduce risk to executives and support business continuity as the company expands into new markets.
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments. Own the development and execution of risk and vulnerability assessments for executive residences and travel programs across EMEA and complex international markets, translating findings into concrete improvements rather than static reports.
- Build the regional security network EMEA operations depend on. Develop and maintain a vetted network of in-country security providers, fixers, medical support partners, and diplomatic or duty-of-care contacts across EMEA and adjacent regions. Manage vendor performance for residential security, transportation, and security system installation and monitoring.
- Lead and grow the EMEA team. Act as the direct manager and advisor for Protective Services staff supporting EMEA operations, guiding their work within established policy and resolving operational or technical problems as they surface. Build the staffing structure this program needs as scope grows, with full people management responsibility as headcount is added.

- Protective operations expertise. 8+ years of professional experience in executive protection, law enforcement, military or corporate security management, with a proven ability to plan and lead executive movements internationally, ensuring safe, efficient, and discreet travel.
- People leadership readiness. Experience managing, mentoring, or acting as the point of escalation for junior team members, comfortable providing guidance within established policy and resolving problems when schedules slip or issues arise in the field. Ready to take on direct people management responsibility as this program's staffing grows.
- Intelligence fusion mindset. Comfortable translating raw intelligence into concrete logistics decisions under time pressure, without needing it pre-packaged into a finished analytic product. You think in terms of what changes the plan, not just what the report says.
- Complex market experience. Direct experience planning or executing protective operations in fast-moving or under-resourced international markets, not just familiarity with the concept from a distance.
- Program and vendor leadership. Demonstrated success designing and managing programs that combine people, process, and technology, including budget ownership, staffing plans, and vendor contract oversight for security service providers and system integrators, ideally including in-country providers in emerging markets.
- Risk assessment and technical grounding. Experience conducting or overseeing vulnerability, risk, and threat assessments for residences, facilities, or events, along with working knowledge of physical security technologies such as surveillance, access control, and alarm monitoring.
- Advanced travel security and medical readiness training. Advanced travel security certification (HEFAT or equivalent) strongly preferred. SIA Close Protection License, or equivalent, is a plus. Familiarity with medical evacuation planning, duty-of-care obligations, and coordination with embassies or crisis response providers abroad is also valued.
- Collaboration and strategic thinking. A strong history of partnering across departments to deliver cohesive security programs, the analytical skill to translate operational data into actionable recommendations, and experience building scalable, repeatable processes that align with international expansion.
- Education. Bachelor's degree required; professional certification in security management, such as CPP or PSP, or in project management is a plus.
- AI fluency and appetite. You use AI tools as a real part of how you work, not as a novelty. You understand where and how AI should shape physical security operations: automation, detection, analytics, workflow acceleration, and decision support. You have a genuine conviction about AI’s role in the function’s evolution and a real appetite to keep growing your own capability.
