Manager, Sales

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager, Sales. This role can be based out of either Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Cambridge, Birmingham, London, Worthing, Leicester, Bristol, Reading, or Maidstone, Kent.

Global Trade Solutions comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.
About the Role

In this role you will:
- Act as the face of the bank, positioning HSBC as the key GTS provider, establishing new client relationships and strengthening existing ones
- Proactively identify sales opportunities and develop these opportunities using established leads
- Support distribution channel business development strategies
- Support plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship managers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
- Participate in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities
- Protect the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews

Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- An understanding of Global Trade Solutions
- Relationship skills gained from Business Banking, Commercial or Corporate Banking
- The willingness to successfully identify and develop complex business propositions, which attract and entrench customers, in a fair and ethical way
- Ability to interact with business customers at a senior and strategic level
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
