Data Platform Architecture & Engineering Consultant – Data & AI Strategy

As a Data Platform Architecture & Engineering Consultant, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering next-generation platforms across strategy, innovation, and execution. Your role will bridge complex technical challenges with strategic business transformation, ensuring accuracy, innovation, and scalability.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
You’ll lead and deliver across critical dimensions of data platform architecture:

Design AI + Data Platforms Lead the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI/ML and data platforms across hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). Foster an AI-driven mindset that integrates distributed AI systems, agentic models, and emerging technologies.

Enable Hybrid Cloud Transformation Implement state-of-the-art hybrid data architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, BigQuery) and migrate legacy systems to cloud-native solutions, unlocking agility, performance, and transformative business value.

Innovate with AI + Data Solutions Build Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Lean MVPs for enterprise-grade AI/ML models, data fabric architectures, and metadata-driven optimizations—ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

Automate for Speed & Efficiency Adopt DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, CloudFormation) to accelerate platform deployment with reliability and governance.

Advise & Strategise the Enterprise Data Vision Develop architecture roadmaps, blueprints, and communication plans, weaving together best design frameworks (TOGAF, DAMA) and modern governance models (Data Mesh).

- Skill growth (training, certifications—e.g., DAMA).
You’ll Have
Essential Professional Fit
- A strategic mindset that bridges AI/ML modeling to long-term enterprise alignment.
- Hands-on technical experience (coding, platform optimization, and tool integration).
- Consulting core—proven ability to translate client challenges into high-impact, actionable solutions.
Key Educational & Experience Requirements
- 10+ years in enterprise data, analytics, and AI). Consulting experience is highly preferred.
- 6+ years with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), including experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
- 3+ intermediate cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) and deep expertise in AI workload cloud environments.
- Infrastructure proficiency in DevOps tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation), cloud security, and automation for AI solutions.
- Methodologies: Sound understanding of ETL/ELT processes, Data Mesh, and transformative cloud-native patterns.
- Migration: Hands-on experience moving legacy systems to cloud Data Fabric/Data Mesh architectures.
- Advisory background: Proven track record in problem-solving, client stakeholder management, financial scoping, and negotiating buy-ins.
