Consilio Ironclad Solution Architect
Consilio is seeking an experienced Ironclad Solution Architect to lead the design and architecture of client implementations within our Ironclad Practice.
Working closely with Project Managers and Legal Engineers, you will define the end-to-end solution design and ensure successful translation of business and legal requirements into scalable, maintainable Ironclad configurations.
This role acts as the technical and functional authority across implementations, ensuring that solutions are aligned to best practices while remaining practical and deliverable within project constraints.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture
- Lead end-to-end solution design for Ironclad CLM implementations, including workflows, templates, approval processes, and data models
- Translate client legal, business, and operational requirements into scalable solution architectures
- Define contract schemas, clause libraries, playbooks, and workflow structures
- Ensure designs account for scalability, usability, and long-term maintainability
Collaboration with Delivery Team
- Partner with Project Managers to ensure solution designs align with project scope, timelines, and delivery constraints
- Provide clear build guidance and specifications to Legal Engineers responsible for system configuration
- Act as the escalation point for complex design or technical challenges
- Support iterative delivery, including design validation during build and testing phases
Client Engagement & Advisory
- Lead discovery sessions, solution design workshops, and playback sessions with client stakeholders
- Advise clients on CLM best practices, contract standardisation, and process optimisation
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly recommendations
- Support alignment across Legal, Procurement, Sales, and IT stakeholders

Integration & Technical Strategy
- Work with our technical teams to design integrations between Ironclad and enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, DocuSign, Microsoft tools, APIs)
- Collaborate with our Data Services team to define data structures, metadata models, and data migration approaches
- Ensure alignment with client IT architecture and security requirements
- Provide oversight on technical dependencies and integration design
Quality Assurance & Governance
- Establish and enforce design standards and best practices across implementations
- Review and validate configurations delivered by Legal Engineers
- Ensure consistency and quality across workflows, templates, and data structures
- Support testing strategies, including system testing and UAT readiness
Continuous Improvement & Practice Development
- Contribute to development of reusable assets, accelerators, and design frameworks
- Help refine delivery methodologies within the Ironclad Practice
- Mentor Legal Engineers and support capability development
- Stay current with Ironclad platform enhancements and industry trends
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing and delivering Ironclad CLM solutions (or similar platforms such as Sirion, Agiloft, Icertis, or Conga)
- Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management (CLM) and legal operations
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solution designs
- Expertise in workflow design, template automation, and contract data modelling
- Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Solution Architect, Lead Legal Engineer, or CLM Architect role
- Background in consulting or professional services delivery environments
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, DocuSign, Microsoft ecosystem, and integration platforms
- Understanding of structured data concepts (e.g., JSON) and system design principles
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Strategic thinking with the ability to balance design quality and delivery practicality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Collaborative and supportive approach to team delivery
