The Team

Chesamel has a large team of marketing experts delivering on client projects across the globe, ranging from fully integrated and embedded consultancy to ad-hoc on demand project delivery. You will be joining a collective focused on delivering excellent client servicing while leading business transformation for our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Initiatives Manager to support a high-profile Public Sector technology programme. This role is responsible for driving internal communications, stakeholder engagement, and operational coordination across multiple teams and functions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring teams remain informed, aligned, and engaged while supporting strategic initiatives, leadership communications, and business operations. This position requires exceptional communication skills, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a proactive, highly organised approach.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be UK nationals and eligible to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Develop and manage communications across internal stakeholder groups.
  • Draft, coordinate, and distribute internal communications, announcements, and business updates.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of team engagement activities, celebrations, and milestone events.
  • Create and manage internal newsletters, communication campaigns, and engagement initiatives.
  • Support culture-building activities and wider employee engagement programmes.
  • Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned across teams.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and drive follow-up actions to completion.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, programme delivery, and leadership teams.
  • Manage review and approval processes to ensure timely delivery of communications and initiatives.
  • Support alignment and collaboration across complex stakeholder environments.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, leadership sessions, and team events.
  • Manage logistics, scheduling, and administrative requirements for internal programmes.
  • Provide operational support for business activities and team initiatives.
  • Assist with ad hoc coordination and administration activities as required.

Strategic Project Support

  • Support the delivery of strategic programmes and business initiatives.
  • Maintain project plans, trackers, timelines, action logs, and status reporting.
  • Prepare presentations, briefing materials, and supporting documentation for leadership and stakeholder audiences.
  • Assist with project coordination and governance activities to ensure successful delivery.

Skills & Experience

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
  • Strong background in internal communications, employee engagement, or stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in modern workplace productivity and collaboration tools.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting technology, cloud, digital transformation, or public sector programmes.
  • Previous experience working within large, complex, matrix organisations.
  • Experience coordinating strategic projects and leadership communications.
  • Familiarity with public sector environments and government-related programmes.
