Manager, Tax U.K. & Europe

Job Description Summary

The Manager, Tax UK & Europe will support Pizza Hut’s UK tax function through tax compliance, reporting, planning, provisions, controls, and process execution for 10+ subsidiaries throughout Europe. This role will help establish and operate standalone UK tax capabilities as Pizza Hut transitions to an independent entity, partnering closely with Finance, Controllership, Legal, Treasury, FP&A, and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax outcomes. The role requires strong UK tax technical knowledge, hands-on execution, sound judgment, ability to manage outsource providers, and the ability to operate effectively in a lean and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

UK Tax Compliance and Filings

  • Manage and support preparation, review, and timely filing of UK corporate tax returns, estimates, payments, disclosures, and related compliance deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to gather data, validate inputs, resolve issues, and maintain documentation required for UK tax filings and reporting.
  • Support compliance calendars, tax payment processes, return-to-provision analysis, and other recurring UK tax compliance activities.
  • Review tax workpapers, calculations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and strengthen UK tax compliance processes as Pizza Hut builds standalone capabilities.

Tax Provision, Reporting, and Controls

  • Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including preparation and review of provision calculations, schedules, reconciliations, and disclosures.
  • Partner with Controllership, Accounting, and external advisors to support accurate tax accounting, reporting, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Assist with tax forecasting, effective tax rate analysis, cash tax planning, and related reporting for leadership and Finance partners.
  • Execute and enhance tax controls, documentation standards, review procedures, and governance processes in a standalone environment.
  • Support readiness for SEC reporting, statutory reporting, and other tax-related requirements as Pizza Hut transitions to independent operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
