Our Private Business Transfer Pricing team supports clients’ cross-border transactions and expansion plans, assesses their international tax strategies and provide a range of services supporting clients through the transfer pricing life cycle, including designing, implementing, documenting, monitoring and defending intercompany pricing policies that align their global tax model with the business strategy.

The client base is very broad with a focus on privately owned UK headquartered groups, including fast growth start-ups and businesses backed by private equity. The team is currently experiencing strong demand for its services and has ambitious growth plans. You will receive regular technical and on the job training and support, as well as opportunities on projects and assignments that will develop and challenge you to achieve your full potential.

Your key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
  • Assist in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.
  • Own and manage the efficient and successful delivery of transfer pricing projects, ensuring technical excellence and applying a practical / business focused approach
  • Contribute to successfully extracting maximum value for both EY and clients from the tax services delivered whilst managing risk appropriately for both client and the firm.
  • Team player; ability to integrate with new teams quickly
  • Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output
  • Strong technical skills and keen to develop further
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Excellent communicator in range of situations both written and oral
  • Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards
  • Client focused and commercially aware
  • Relationship management skills with ability to manage client expectations

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong transfer pricing technical skills
  • Strategically and commercially aware
  • Effective time management
  • Degree or postgraduate degree essential
  • ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA; or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training Course; or Law qualification; or CFA; or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification
  • Project management skills, plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget and time
